Art in Place is an Urban Land Institute (ULI) initiative that aspires to build stronger connections between artists and real estate enterprises through creative placemaking.

Why Hong Kong?

Hong Kong is a place of rapid change and highly densified occupation. We see an opportunity to utilise vacant real estate spaces for creative place making - leveraging art and culture to bring communities together for purpose and understanding. In return, we can revitalise a collective neighbourhood identity.

Creating Impact Together

Through AIP (ULI Art in Place Hong Kong, a program of ULI Hong Kong), we hope to lower the barrier of entry to use art in real estate and encourage efforts on creative placemaking. By connecting the synergy of real estate and local artist communities, AIP aims to build a platform for a more inclusive neighbourhood identity.

Our inaugural project features Fairland Holdings’ Spark City in Mong Kok where we would love to hear ‘What Sparks Joy’ for the community.

Join us and let us know what sparks joy for you!
